Everything is mined these days. Even our minds are mined and in this case I dug around one day sitting in the bath looking at the trim of black tiles on the white wall and figured I could do something with that, so I did. Fat belly bodies with elaborate beards are a pleasure to draw and I really like the idea of diamond miners mining in a mine the shape of a diamond.
